The person I would choose to help me cook would be my older sister Maya. I would choose her because she's good at cooking and she is interested in cooking. So, the meal I would make would be (of course) a turkey, and then I would add some mashed potatoes, and finally I would have some mac & cheese.
Turkey:
1) I would have an 8 pound turkey.
2) I would cook it for about 3 hours, and at about 350 degrees.
3) When my turkey was finished cooking, I would try to make it look nice, maybe put it on top of some lettuce or grapes, maybe even cheese.
Mashed Potatoes:
1) My potatoes would be fresh from the Food Coop.
2) I would boil my potatoes until I could stick a fork through them.
3) I would then take them out and drain the water.
4) I would mash them.
5) Next I would mix it with milk to make it creamy. 6) Then I would sprinkle on some salt and pepper and then smear on some butter!
Mac & Cheese:
1) I would take elbow macs, (but you can use any,) and boil them.
2) In a separate pan, I would mix butter, milk, flour, and lots of grated cheese.
3) Once the boiled macaroni is finished, I would drain it.
4) I would mix my cheese mixture with my macaroni, and then put it in the oven for 20 minutes to give it a golden crust. Maybe I would add some parsley!

Turkey Ingredients:
8 pound turkey
Grapes (optional)
Lettuce (optional)
Cheese (optional)

Mashed Potato Ingredients:
Potatoes
Butter (optional)
Pepper (optional)
Salt (optional)

Mac & Cheese Ingredients:
Macaroni
Butter
Milk
Flour
Parsley (optional)

This is my Thanksgiving dinner!
(You may also serve this meal with a side salad)

If I was making Thanksgiving dinner I would serve a turkey, a side dish of mashed potatoes and another side dish of mac and cheese.

The ingredients for the turkey are 1 turkey, 2 cups of broth or water, and melted unsalted butter (optional, for basting).

The ingredients for mashed potatoes are potatoes, butter, salt, and milk.

The ingredients for mac and cheese are cheddar cheese, macaroni (or pasta), milk, and butter.

I would prepare the turkey for roasting by taking it out of the fridge and putting the turkey on the roasting rack in a roasting pan. Heat the oven to 450 degrees. Rub your turkey with some salt and pepper before putting it in the oven. Then you roast the turkey. You cook the turkey for 13 minutes per pound. Baste the turkey. Every 45 minutes, remove the turkey from the oven, close the oven door and scoop out all of the liquids at the bottom of the pan and drizzle it over the turkey. Check the temperature to see that it is cooked enough by using a thermometer. Then you use an oven mitt to take the turkey out of the oven and let the turkey rest for 30 minutes. Then you carve the turkey. To make the mashed potatoes you peel the potatoes. then you put the potatoes into a pot of water to boil. Ounce the potatoes are soft, you drain the water. Then you add butter, salt, and 2 tablespoons of milk. Then you mash the potatoes until there are no lumps. To make the mac and cheese you first boil the macaroni or pasta. After it is boiled you drain the water and add butter, cheddar cheese and milk. Mix it all together until the cheese coats the pasta. If I could have help from one person I would want help from my mom. I would want help from her because she is really good at cooking.

To cook my turkey I would remove the giblets (Gross stuff inside the turkey) then, I would turn on the oven, obviously. One of the most important parts is how much the turkey weighs so I would find that out. I would probably cook it at roughly 15 minutes per pound. Lets say I had a 9 pound turkey. To figure out how long to cook it for, I would have to do 9 times 15 which I know equals 135, but to be precise, since each hour is 60 minutes, the amount of time it would take would be 2 hours and 15 minutes. The two sides I would choose would be mash potatoes and stuffing.

I would chose my mom to help me cook my meal because she has experience cooking. Also she cooks all of our meals and we all like them. Those are 2 of many reasons I would chose my mom to help me cook.

My meal will be a roast turkey with mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts with small pieces of bacon.

First I would get one of our many cook books. Second, I would prepare by getting all my ingredients together.

I will brine my turkey over night, then I would roast it in the oven.

I chose this meal because it is a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for our family. My meal reminds me of my family, it is warm and content.

Roast Turkey
1 (14 to 16 pound) frozen young turkey
For the brine:
1 cup kosher salt
½ cup light brown sugar
1 gallon vegetable stock
1 tablespoon black peppercorns
1 ½ teaspoons allspice berries
1 ½ teaspoons chopped candied ginger
1 gallon heavily iced water
For the aromatics (Inside Turkey):
1 red apple, sliced
½ onion, sliced
1 cinnamon stick
1 cup water
4 sprigs rosemary
6 leaves sage
Sunflower oil

4 slices of bacon, cut crosswise into ¼-inch pieces (about ¾ cup)
1 tablespoon good olive oil
½ teaspoon sea salt
½ teaspoon pepper

2. Preheat oven to 500 degrees
3. Remove turkey from brine and rinse inside and out
4. Place on roasting rack inside wide, low pan and pat dry with paper towels
5. Add aromatics
6. Coat outside of turkey with sunflower oil
7. Roast in oven at 500 degrees for 30 minutes
8. Remove from oven, cover breast with aluminum foil, return to oven, reduce temperature to 350 degrees
9. A 14 pound turkey should be done in 2 hours (internal breast temperature at 161 degrees)

Fricassee Brussels Sprouts with Bacon
1. Cut Brussels sprouts into slices about 1/4-inch thick
2. Scatter the bacon pieces in a large skillet, add the oil, cover and cook over high heat for 2 to 3 minutes, crisp and brown
3. Add the sliced sprouts, salt and pepper
4. Cover and cook for about 1 to 2 minutes to soften the sprouts
5. Uncover and cook over high heat, tossing occasionally, for about 2 minutes, until the sprouts are tender but still a bit firm

Mashed Potatoes
1. Rinse potatoes, cover with water in saucepan large
2. Boil until tender ½ hour
3. Drain when done
4. Put back in pan
5. Add stick of butter

To make a turkey, first you have to wash the turkey. Second you have to clean the inside of the turkey, and once your done with that you have to dry the turkey. Then you have to put your hand under the turkeys skin to loosen it. Now you have to rub the turkey with butter or oil then sprinkle with salt and pepper. Now you have to put it in the roasting pan. Then you heat the oven to 325 degrees and bake it in the oven 20 minutes for each pound.

I am going to follow a recipe in order to cook my meal. My side dishes are mashed potatoes and mac & cheese. My thanksgiving dinner meal will consist of a delicious brown roast turkey with a side of fluffy mashed potatoes and melted mac & cheese.

The ingredients for the roast turkey are:
1 (18 pound) whole turkey
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 cups of turkey stock.
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Directions for cooking:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Place rack in the lowest position of the oven.
Remove the turkey neck and giblets, rinse the turkey, and pat dry with paper towels. Place the turkey, breast side up, on a rack in the roasting pan. Rub the skin with the softened butter, and season with salt and pepper. Position an aluminum foil tent over the turkey.
Place turkey in the oven, and pour 2 cups turkey stock into the bottom of the roasting pan. Baste all over every 30 minutes with the juices on the bottom of the pan. Whenever the drippings evaporate, add stock to moisten them, about 1 to 2 cups at a time. Remove aluminum foil after 2 1/2 hours. Roast until a meat thermometer inserted in the meaty part of the thigh reads 180 degrees F (80 degrees C), about 4 hours.
Transfer the turkey to a large serving platter, and let it stand for at least 20 to 30 minutes before carving.

Recipe for mashed potatoes:
6 medium russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
½ cup warm milk
¼ cup butter
¾ teaspoon of salt
A dash of pepper

Place potatoes in saucepan and cover with water. Cover and bring to a boil; cook for 20-25 minutes or until very tender. Drain well. Add milk, butter, salt, and pepper; mash until light and fluffy.

Recipe for mac & cheese:
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
3/4-teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 (8 ounce) package elbow macaroni
2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1 (8 ounce) package processed American cheese, cut into strips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Sautee the onion for 2 minutes. Stir in flour and cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Stir in milk, salt, mustard and pepper; cook, stirring frequently, until mixture boils and thickens.
Meanwhile, bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add macaroni and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
To the milk mixture add the Cheddar and American cheeses; stir until cheese melts. Combine macaroni and cheese sauce in a 2-quart baking dish; mix well.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until hot and bubbly. Let cool 10 minutes before serving.

If I could have help cooking from one person, it would be my mom. I love the food my mom cooks and she is very experienced.

My meal was good because I had my godmother famous pumkin pie and her carrot cake. It was awesome because most of my families were there.
These are the ingridients for our thanksgiving meal. Rice, beans, macarroni, cheese, onions, peppers, ground turkey, turkey, letuce, carrots, tomatoes, cuccumbers, eggs, milk, nutmug, cinamon, extract, ricota, tomatoe paste, oil.
If I had to cook my turkey and the side dishes I guess I would start of by cleaning the turkey then seasoning it. I would steam all vegetables because it seems to be easier.
The person who I will pick to cook with is my godmother because she makes the best desserts in the world in my opinion and I love sweets.

4. next you put it in the pan and into the oven.
5. Leave the bird to cook and work on other parts of meal.

Side dishes
Mashed potatoes
1. Cut about 15 mid-sized potatoes.
2. Place in boiled water for about 20 minutes.
3. Draine potatoes and return them to pot.
4. Add milk, salt and butter.
5. Now, the best part, find smallest masher in house and MASH!

CARAMELIZED BACON
1. Make a bed of brown sugar in pan by patting with your hand.
2. Place bacon down in sugar.
3. Do same with brown sugar over the bacon.
4. Put it in oven at 360.
5. Keep checking it until the sugar is a liquid.

If I was in charge of making thanksgiving dinner, I would make a turkey, (of course), cranberry sauce, and mashed sweet potatoes with marshmallows.

• WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Good sized turkey
• A cooking pan
• Brush(for vegetable oil)
• Vegetable oil
• Meat thermometer
• Foil
• Any type of vegetable

How I would cook the turkey…

1. I would pre-heat the oven to about 325 to 350 degrees.
2. Place the turkey in a cooking pan, with its chest facing up.
3. Spray or brush on vegetable oil, to add crisp.
4. Then just keep track of the bird’s temperature by putting in a meat thermometer in its thigh (so it is safe to eat later on).
Then I would place my turkey in the oven once it is pre-heated to about 325 to 350 degrees.
1. When your turkey is two-thirds of the way done cooking, you should wrap the chest of the bird and the drumsticks in foil, so your turkey stays moist. Also, if you want to, you can add vegetables to the pan,(for extra flavor).
2. Make sure your turkey is not sticking to the bottom of the pan.
3. Before you serve your turkey make sure it is at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
9.Let your turkey sit for 15 minutes to cool of
before serving, and carving.
10. Serve, sit down, and enjoy!

Here is how I would make the cranberry sauce…
• 1 cup (200 g) sugar
• 1 cup (250 mL) water
• 4 cups (1 12-oz package) fresh or frozen cranberries
• Optional Pecans, orange zest, raisins, currants, blueberries, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice.

1 Wash and pick over cranberries. In a saucepan bring to a boil water and sugar, stirring to dissolve sugar. Add cranberries, return to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer for 10 minutes or until cranberries burst.
2 At this point you can add all number of optional ingredients. We typically mix in a half a cup of roughly chopped pecans with or without a few strips of orange zest. You can add a cup of raisins or currants. You can add up to a pint of fresh or frozen blueberries for added sweetness. Spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg or allspice can be added too.
3 Remove from heat. Cool completely at room temperature and then chill in refrigerator. Cranberry sauce will thicken as it cools.
Cranberry sauce base makes 2 1/4 cups

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 4 pounds of red-skinned sweet potatoes (yams), peeled, cut into one inch pieces
• 2/3 cup packed golden sugar
• 5 tablespoons of butter
• 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
• ½ teaspoon of salt
• ¼ teaspoon of ground nutmeg
• pinch of ground ginger
• 2 cups of miniature marshmallows
• ½ cup of sliced almonds

Here is how I would make the special mashed potatoes…

Preheat oven to 375°F. Arrange potatoes in 13 x 9 x 2-inch glass baking dish. Combine sugar, butter, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg and ginger in heavy small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Pour over potatoes; toss to coat. Cover dish tightly with foil.
Bake potatoes 50 minutes. Uncover; bake until potatoes are tender and syrup thickens slightly, basting occasionally, about 20 minutes. Increase oven temperature to 500°F. Top potatoes with marshmallows and nuts. Return to oven; bake until marshmallows begin to melt and nuts begin to brown, about 3 minutes.

if someone could help me with cooking dinner I would choose my mom. I would pick her because she is a really really good cook.

AND THAT IS WHAT WOULD DO IF I WAS IN CHARGE OF THANKSGIVING

I would have my mom help me cook because she taught me these recipes. I would have an 8 pound turkey and...

Throw it in a big glass dish, and throw it in the oven for about 3 hours at 350 degrees.

After this I would marinate it.

I would then add some salt and put it back in for another hour at 350 degrees.

Then, when it's finished, I would add some rosemary to it.

Side Dish
Mashed Potatoes

I would get a fork and stab holes all around the potato.

Then put it in the microwave.

I would then mash it with my fork until it's all white and mushy.

Then I would put it in a glass dish, and put it on the stove for about 30 minutes at around 350.

Side Dish
Rum-dipped Carrots

HOW TO COOK A TURKEY

First, let your turkey thaw before cooking. The quickest way to thaw is to place the turkey in cold water. Change the water every 30 minutes till the turkey is thawed.

About a hour before cooking take your turkey out from the fridge to get it to room temperature. Then pre-heat your oven to 450F. Rub your turkey skin with butter and ground spices. This gives your turkey more flavor. Also place a few halved lemons and garlic cloves inside the turkey cavity.

Place the turkey in a roasting pan. Pour 2 cups of chicken broth into the roasting pan. Turn your oven down to 350F. The cooking time is about 13 minutes per pound. Every 45 minutes remove the turkey from the oven and baste all over with the liquids from the bottom of the pan.

Check the temperature with a meat thermometer before carving. The temperature should be 165F. Place the turkey on a carving board and cover with tin foil for 30 minutes before carving. You are ready to enjoy your tasty turkey.

HAPPY THANKGIVING!

Our meal comes from traditions from the US, Slovakia, and Puerto Rico. I had turkey, mashed potatoes succotash, brussel sprouts, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and pasteles. For dessert we had sweet potato pie, apple pie, pumkin pie, cocnut pie

(1) Citrus turkey with lemon and orange and thyme, oregano, butter, sage, and onion
(2) Brussel sprouts were cooked with bacon, coconut oil, and salt
(3) Succotash has lima beans and corn
(4) Mashed potatoes has cream, potatoes and butter
(5) The cranberry sauce has orange juice and zest, cranberry, lemon, and sugar.
(6) Pasteles are from puerto rico and have mashed yucca and pork and spices wrapped in a banana leaf.
(7) Pumpkin and apple pies were homemade with apples, pumpkin, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and butter and condensed milk
(8) The stuffing had pears and bread and mushrooms and pancetta.

For the turkey, we melted the butter and herbs and then rubbed this all over the turkey, even under the skin. Then we stuffed the bird with onions, lemon, orange, and herbs. Then we put it in the oven and basted it every 30 minutes.

The pies we made the night before. The apple pie had 3 different kinds of apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, clove, and a stick of butter. We bought the crust so that part was easy. Mix everything put it in the crust.

The pumpkin pie was a mix of condensed milk, pumpkin, nutmeg cinamin. We mashed it up and put it in the crust.

The stuffing had chopped pears, chopped mushrooms, pancetta bacon, and butter, and chopped bread. Everything was chopped and mixed together and we baked it in muffin tins.

Brussel sprouts were cooked in bacon and coconut oil and baked in the oven with salt.

My grandma made the pasteles with her secret recipe and we just had to boil them for 1 hour

I would choose help from my dad because he did most of the cooking with my mom and me.

My Thanksgiving Meal
My Thanksgiving meal would include dishes from Thanksgiving and Hanukah since they both fall at the same time this year. Both holidays have some really great food.
I would choose my grandma to help me cook. She makes a great brined turkey, so I'll do that too. I'd also make 2 sides, and they'll be potato latkes and a broccoli-wild rice casserole.
To make the brined turkey:
1. Make the brine, which is water, salt, sugar, and spices.
2. Put the brine in a container that's bigger than the turkey.
3. Wash the turkey well.
4. Put the turkey in the container totally in the brine.
5. Keep that in a cool place for at least 10 hours.
6. After 10 hours or more, take the turkey out and rinse it off.
7. Roast the turkey in the oven at 325º.
8. A 12 lb. bird will take 3 hours to cook.
9. After the turkey is cooked, take it out of the oven, slice and EAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To make the potato latkes:
1. Grate some potatoes and onions.
2. In a bowl, combine eggs, bread crumbs, salt, baking powder, and pepper.
3. Stir in the potatoes and onions.
4. Heat vegetable oil in a big frying pan.
5. Drop the mixture by spoonfuls into the pan.
6. Flatten latkes.
7. Cook until both sides are crisp and golden.
8. Serve them hot and EAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To make the broccoli-wild rice casserole:
1. Place rice and chicken broth into a saucepan and boil it.
2. Then reduce heat, let it simmer for about 40 minutes.
3. Boil broccoli pieces until bright green, then drain and let cool.
4. In a deep pan, saute onions, mushrooms, carrots, and celery in butter until golden-brown.
5. Add flour and cream and heat.
6. Turn the oven onto 375º.
7. In your casserole dish, layer your cooked rice and broccoli, then poor over your sauce.
8. On top, sprinkle buttered bread crumbs.
9. Then bake for about 20 minutes.
10. Take casserole out of oven, serve and EAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cooking a turkey is actually surprisingly easy. To prepare the turkey for roasting in the oven, first remove the giblets (and save for gravy or stuffing). Next, rinse the bird inside and out and pat dry with paper towels.

•If you are stuffing the bird, stuff it loosely, allowing about ½ to ¾ cup stuffing per pound of turkey.
•Brush the skin with melted butter or oil. Tie drumsticks together with string (for stuffed birds only).
•Insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the thigh. The thermometer should point towards the body, and should not touch the bone.
•Place the bird on a rack in a roasting pan, and into a preheated 350 degree F (175 degrees C) oven. To determine how long to cook a turkey, use this chart to estimate the time required for baking.
•Bake until the skin is a light golden color, and then cover loosely with a foil tent. During the last 45 minutes of baking, remove the foil tent to brown the skin. Basting is not necessary, but helps promote even browning.
•The turkey is done when the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F (75 degrees C) at the thigh.
also the two side dishes would be macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes.

My thanksgiving meal would be deep fried turkey with roast pork.My sides would bemac &chese and baked patato. here are some resipies It online...
Roast beef recipe

3 to 3 1/2 lbs (1.3 to 1.6 kg) of Boneless Rump Roast (pick an end cut with a layer of fat if you can)
Olive oil
8 slivers of garlic
Salt and pepper
You will need a meat thermometer

For the gravy:

Red wine, water, and or beef stock
corn starch
1 Start with the roast at room temperature (remove from refrigerator 1 hour before cooking - keep it wrapped). Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

2 With a sharp knife make 8 small incisions around the roast. Place a sliver of garlic into each incision. Take a tablespoon or so of olive oil and spread all around the roast. Sprinkle around the roast with salt and pepper. Place the roast directly on an oven rack, fatty side up, with a drip pan on a rack beneath the roasting rack. This arrangement creates convection in the oven so that you do not need to turn the roast. The roast is placed fat side up so that as the fat melts it will bathe the entire roast in its juices.
Deep Fried Turkey
1 (10-pound) turkey
2 tablespoons House seasoning, recipe follows
2 tablespoons of your favorite dry rub
3 to 5 gallons peanut oil
Cooks Note: To measure the amount of oil needed to fry the turkey, place turkey in fryer, add water to top of turkey, remove the turkey and the water line will indicate how much oil will be needed to fry your turkey. Having too much oil can cause a fire. The pot should not be more than 3/4 full or the oil could overflow when the turkey is added.Wash bird inside and out, and allow to drain. Rub turkey all over with House Seasoning. Coat turkey with dry rub. Allow the bird to sit until it reaches room temperature.

Heat peanut oil in a turkey fryer or a very, very large stockpot to 350 degrees F. Lower turkey into hot oil, very carefully, making sure it is fully submerged. Fry turkey for 3 minutes per pound plus 5 minutes per bird. Remove turkey from oil and drain on paper towels.
Mac & cheese
1 (16 ounce) package macaroni
1 pound sharp Cheddar cheese, sliced
1 tablespoon butter
salt and pepper to taste
1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milkPreheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
Grease a 2 quart casserole dish. Place a quarter of the macaroni in the bottom, followed by an even layer of one-quarter of the cheese slices. Dot with butter and season with salt and pepper. Repeat layering three times. Pour evaporated milk evenly over the top of all.
Bake, uncovered, for one hour, or until top is golden brown.
baked patato
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

5.add butter, milk, salt and pepper
My steps for cranberry sauce is:

How my mom makes her turkey.
She cleans it and i help her make the stuffing for it. She puts it in a cooking bag so that way it dosen't dry out she leaves it in the oven for about 5 hours. We make mash potatoes, gravy, pork, rice and we have pies, cookies with icecream and brownies. When we set up the table for all of us to sit and eat everything looks so yummy. When we eat all of the food it taste so good. That was our thanksgiving.

My meal would be a turkey, stuffed with vegetables and two sides dishes, which would be mashed potatoes with gravy and corn bread.
The ingredients you will need are:
1. one cold turkey from the butcher shop
2. carrots, broccoli, onions, string beans, beans
3. salt and pepper
4. potatoes from the grocery store
5. gravy from the delicacy store, since I don’t really know how to make it
6. some corn meal, eggs, and yeast

What you need to do:
1. take the turkey and cut it open in the butt
2. cut up the carrots into circles
3. cut the broccoli into small chunks
4. cut the onions layer by layer, so that they are sun-shaped, like a rising sun
5. cut the string beans into little bits
6. take all the vegetables you cut, including the beans, and stuff them into the body of the turkey
7. add some salt and pepper into the turkey
8. put the turkey in the oven for approximately three hours and 15 minutes
9. peel the potatoes and boil them in hot water
10. smash the potatoes into hot milk, butter, and heavy cream
11. add some salt
12. take the corn meal, put into rectangular bowl and mix it with eggs and yeast
13. take turkey out and put cornbread mix in
14. put turkey on large plate and side dish in bowl

Who would help me and why:
I think my brother Yann would help me. I think this because he is a very good cook and he has made many deserts and knows a lot about cooking.

I hope you take my way of making the turkey and the two side dishes into consideration. Bon apetit!

I would make turkey, mac & cheese, and mashed potatoes. If I could have one person helping me cook it would be my mom because she's great at cooking. These are the ingredients.
Turkey: A turkey, salt, pepper, and butter
Mac & cheese: Macaroni, cheese powder (from the box), milk
Mashed potatoes: potatoes, salt, pepper milk, butter.
To make the mac & cheese follow the directions on the box.
To make the turkey you have to put it in the oven 350 degrees F. You put a meat thermometer in the turkey and cook it until it says 160.
To make the mashed potatoes boil them in water, then mash them, then add butter, milk, salt, and pepper.

COOKING OUR TURKEY
We wash the the bird and then pluck the remaining feathers out, then we olive oil the turkey then we season the turkey with salt, pepper, garlic, along with more herbs.
This year we added a blended criolla of celantro, some more garlic, peppwers and onions.
Then we stuffed the the turkey after we punctured it so the flavors would be all over the turkey.
In the pan add 2 cups of water, cover the turkey, stick in the oven for 4hrs baste every 1 1/2hrs until golden brown
Then time to eat!
I also like to eat the pineapple with cherries (mom usually puts it in the baked glazed ham).
And I like my grandmothers sea food.

To make the turkey, I would first have to rinse it with vinegar and water. Next I would need to make stuffing as a side dish which I would put inside the turkey. To make the stuffing, I would need to cut up onions and put it in a pan with butter. Add the breadcrumbs and then mix. Once it's all mixed together, I would put the stuffing into the turkey. Then I will need to sew up the turkey with large string and a large needle to close it up. Because if I don't, the stuffing may burst out of the turkey. I will add lots of butter to the outside of the turkey and then put it inside the oven. I will know when the turkey is done when the popper comes out of the turkey. I will need to baste the turkey and then add more butter to the outside of the turkey.
I would want my grandma to help me cook because she's awesome at cooking.
I would then make mash potatoes as another side. I would have to peel the potatoes then cut them up. I would boil some water and then add the potatoes. Once they are done, I would mash them with a potato masher, add milk, butter and salt and keep mashing.
So that's how I would cook a turkey and what two sides I would make for Thanksgiving dinner.

I could not cook thanksgiving dinner. My life is too busy right now it would just be to much. Also turkey makes me feel sick. So I would probably go online and order a turkey. My sides would be mashed potatoes and green bean casserole. I would choose my dad to help me because he is good around computers so although he has not ordered online before he could probably figure something out.

To cook a turkey, I would have my mom to help me because she always cooks it. This Thanksgiving I had turkey & gravy with these side dishes: stuffing, cranberry jello mold, and much, much more.

HOW TO COOK A TURKEY:

1. Order a turkey from your grocery store or farmers market. This year my turkey was 22 pounds (which is just a bit lighter than my dog.)

2. Rub it with salt and pepper and LOTS OF BUTTER and herbs.

3. Put it in the oven at 350 degrees and leave it there for 15 minutes per pound. Which is about five hours for my turkey.

4. Take it out and carve it.Then you use all the juice in the pan to make the gravy. ENJOY!

HOW TO MAKE CRANBERRY JELLO MOLD (It;s not moldy! It refers to the mold it's made in!)

1. Go to a store and buy everything you need: strawberry jello, cranberries, pineapple and walnuts.

2. Mix it all together with hot water.

3. Pour in the "mold"

4. Refrigerate until firm.

5. Enjoy (again!)

HOW TO MAKE STUFFING

1. Take stuffing mix and mix with stock (a type of soup)

2. Add chopped onions, mushrooms and peppers.

3. Put in a pan in the oven with the turkey and cook until fluffy.

4. ENJOY! (Again, again!)
